Behavioral Health & Psychiatry at Core Care Clinic

Behavioral health is an important part of whole-person care. Core Care Clinic provides a supportive setting where patients can discuss mental and emotional health concerns and explore appropriate care with qualified clinicians.

Behavioral Health & Whole-Person Care

Mental and physical health can affect each other. Integrating behavioral health with primary care can help patients discuss concerns in a setting that considers the whole person.

FAQ’s about the Service

What is behavioral health care?
Behavioral health care covers the full range of support for mental and emotional wellbeing - from psychiatric evaluation and medication management to counseling and psychotherapy. At Core Care Clinic, it's delivered by the same team coordinating your primary care, not a separate, disconnected system.
When should I speak with a provider?
There's no single "right" moment to reach out. If something is affecting your daily life, your relationships, or your sleep and energy for more than a few days, that's reason enough to talk to someone - you don't need to wait until things feel unmanageable.
What happens during a first visit?
A first visit is a conversation, not an exam. Your provider will ask about what's been going on, your history, and how it's been affecting your life - there's no pressure to have the "right" words for it. From there, you'll work together on what support could look like.
Can care be provided through telehealth?
Yes, many behavioral health visits - including therapy sessions and medication check-ins - are available virtually through secure telepsychiatry appointments.
Do I need a referral?
No. Our behavioral health team works directly alongside primary care, so you can ask about a referral at any visit, or book directly without one.
